AD Systems is an industry leader in sliding interior doors design and manufacturing. They have created doors that are functional and essential for offices, medical clinics and other spaces.
The demand for sliding doors in commercial construction is increasing. They offer a great opportunity to save significant, valuable space. Sliding doors are also something of an aesthetic upgrade to a building. They bring a distinctive character and often feature much quieter operation that a typical swing door.
Architects looking for ways to add function with pleasing aesthetics will be drawn to AD Systems’ sliding interior door styles. They offer three different styles: InsetSlide™, Examslide™ and OfficeSlide™.
Examslide™ and OfficeSlide™ Doors
ExamSlide was originally developed for outpatient clinics. It was an exam room door solution to meet the critical needs of those high traffic spaces. Designed with surfaces that are easy to clean, a “wrap frame” to protect wall construction, ADA compliant hardware and acoustic performance to safeguard speech privacy. ExamsSlide has become a standard for many healthcare systems for their exam rooms, medical office buildings and even patient restrooms.
The OfficeSlide system by AD Systems takes the same core functionality and design capabilities of the ExamSlide standalone sliding doors and adds fixed sidelites or transoms to create a partition. OfficeSlide allows designers to create custom interior partitions with virtually any type of glazing or infill panel to meet aesthetic and acoustic needs. OfficeSlide offers a clean, contemporary look and an easy method of attaching sliding doors to a glass system while not compromising on acoustics. Like ExamSlide, it is available with a smoke ratings and a range of ADA compliant hardware options.
The new InsetSlide™ Doors
AD Systems’ InsetSlide™ sliding doors are a new take on their traditional barn door design. They use an integral slidelite to make the doors fit within the wall opening [as opposed to a surface-mounted “barn door” design].
InsetSlide™ doors use top hung rollers to guarantee smooth maintenance free operation but also quiet, soft closing. Plus, the aluminum frame system used helps protect wall construction.
AD Systems offers many extra features with this style of sliding interior door. You can choose between wood or aluminum stile and rail doors. Additionally, you can choose to have doors with integral glass sidelite or solid infill panels like markerboards.
You may choose from many hardware options with InsetSlide™ doors. Equally important, builders, architects and facility owners can incorporate any of these locking options:
- ADA thumb turn lock with occupancy indicator
- Key locks
- ADA self-latching mortise
- Magnetic lock – key card/access control
- Single Action Egress Hardware
